Is a partial drain different from a full drain?
Yes. A partial drain removes and replaces a portion of the water — often to dilute one problem substance, like cyanuric acid — while a full drain empties the pool completely for a total refill. Partial drains are far more common and usually enough.
Many pool owners never do a full drain at all. What happens to the chemistry after a refill?
